LITIGATION APPROACH:
Being a trial lawyer for us is enjoyable and professionally
satisfying. Knowing how to approach a case and judiciously use
resources to approach alternative dispute resolution separates
our firm from others. Business decisions need to be made by you
on a case-by-case basis. Although settling a case for $10,000.00
maybe more economically justifiable, the intangibles of a case
may warrant twice that in litigation defense efforts over a
period of years. However, the choice must be yours to make. Our
clients have had excellent success in approaching litigation with
an atmosphere of civility while preparing for war throughout the
litigation process. Many times our clients have expressed
disbelief over the fact that had they known a case could have
settled for under $5,000.00, they would not have spent $10,000.00
on defense costs prior to seeking our consultation.
Our initial action plan whenever we are retained is two-fold.
First, immediately solicit a settlement demand from opposing
counsel and secondly review the facts in order to file a
third-party action identifying other possible defendants and/or
preserve workers' compensation liens prior to the running of any
statute of limitation. Our general approach is to seek
alternatives to full litigation unless you direct otherwise or
circumstances dictate otherwise.
Our approach to long-term relationship building means we would
rather successfully end litigation on a file than show you at the
end of five years a successful outcome. We have no desire to keep
a file alive for any period of time beyond your wishes.
Our attorneys have depth and experience in a broad range of
settings from serving Municipalities to arguing and appearing
before the Appellate Courts of the State of Illinois and working
in the 7th Circuit Federal Court system. Despite our emphasis on
seeking alternative resolutions to full blown litigation, our
clients continue to enjoy working with us in presenting the
strongest case possible. We look forward to earning your trust
and respect too.
